Legislative session starts Tuesday, January 21:
The 2025 legislative session kicks off this Tuesday, January 21, and we are gearing up for a critical period of advocacy. As we move forward with our goals, keep an eye out for key updates on the following initiatives:
- Expand Healthcare Coverage through Medicaid Forward
We are advocating to open Medicaid to all New Mexico residents, so anyone can purchase coverage on a sliding scale, regardless of income. This is a historic opportunity to expand access to quality healthcare for all. - Protect the Healthcare Affordability Fund
We also remain committed to protecting the Healthcare Affordability Fund—a vital resource that helps over 60,000 New Mexicans and 6,000 small businesses access affordable, discounted coverage on the Exchange. It is crucial that we ensure this fund remains intact and fully operational to continue helping our communities and small businesses.
